Hard Rock Mining Solutions (HRMS) is a subsidiary of AIM, which acquired the mining division of Hencon Netherlands, a leading international provider of specialised mining equipment, in 2024.

HRMS represents AIM as its OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) in southern Africa. The dynamic HRMS team is spearheaded by a management team with 28 years of experience in global mining operations, manufacturing and maintenance. Building on a legacy of excellence in the global mining industry, HRMS is committed to offering clients on the African continent the very best in mining equipment, advice and after-sales service.

First of its kind worldwide

August 2022 saw the highly anticipated launch of the AIM Altecreter (launched as the Hencon Altecreter) in Johannesburg, South Africa – the world’s first self-propelled, underground articulated, all-wheel drive, volumetric concrete mixing vehicle. The successful launch of the Altecreter has played a big role in the decision to enter the South African market and actively assemble AIM mining machines in the country. To date, AIM has manufactured over 473 mining machines, with one of its crowning glories being its unique hydrostatic drive train, a design that outperforms competitors as far as operational expense is concerned.

AIM vehicles are available with an optional service contract to ensure hassle-free operations for our clients. All vehicles are equipped with an on-board monitoring system, allowing for real-time performance data availability, and fitted with an on-board camera system.
